Thoughts: While reading this, it was yet another reminder as to why it's so challenging to trust any company -- even if companies like Tinder or Bumble or Hinge once claimed to be about finding love or finding a match, their incentive is to do the exact opposite. The more you stay on the app, the more ads you might see. It's not by creating a modicum of a chance that you'll find love, but by creating the belief that you might find it one day, that dating apps thrive.
Sometime I'll share the story of being banned from the Match Group apps. The tl;dr is that my algorithm to beat their algorithm was caught by another one of their algorithms. It happens.
